I'm Goin' to Kansas City, Kansas City, Here I Come!!

Thought it might be a good idea to update before my vacation....I finished the vintage tank top and am in the process of making the matching cardi. They're made from CE which I love....I've read several different blogs that the knitter was unhappy with the yarn and/or stated that the CE from Tuesday Morning was clearly different than the "regular" CE. I haven't encountered any problems with it, and matter of fact this IS the CE from Tuesday Morning. Yeah, I would have loved some other colors, but ya can only get what they have to offer.

And of course, here's the finished Ribbon X-Back...it fits like a dream I noticed that other knitters were having a sizing problem...I never even gauge swatched...mainly cause I'm not too sure how to do it on circulars. I just cast on and went for it. Guess Lady Luck was with me for a change. Trust me. I've had my screw ups...

As far as K.C. is concerned, I'm going up for 9 heavenly days and staying with a dear "old" friend--meaning we've been friends since we were 19. She emailed me to let me know that I will be leaving HOT, HOT FL with rainy afternoons to HOT HOT K.C. with rain. Such is life! My plans are to hit all the local yarn shops and stock up on summer yarns....remember, they have winter and this timing should be just about right for getting some good deals. Cross your fingers.
Of course, I plan to take photos and bore everyone to death about my observations when I get back. Now, what knitting to pack? Will I have a hassle at the airport? How much yarn can I sneak back into the ever burdgeoning stash? See you in Sept!

Photo Phobia

Lately I have been distressed over the quality of my blog photos. Sure, I knew the other digital camera I bought was just for fun, but this niggling feeling kept coming over me. I went out and bought a new HP camera today, and here's the results... Now if I could only figure out how to place the photos on the posts, I'd be in business!

Anyway, I got this idea of the design from Lilly Pulitzer, I think. It's good ole Wally World fabric from Mary Engelbreit for again $2.20!! My next one will be totally overboard...I'm now on a picture taking mission!!! Check back for updates!
